arrival:
the space will be open for performers at 9pm on friday night, the 12th of November,
2010.
leaving:
we will
need to be out of the space by 1am on sunday the 14th of November.
CINECYCLE MEMBERSHIP CARD REQUIRED: please sign-up for a Cinecycle MEMBERSHIP life-long membership card when you arrive.
program at the performance: the intent, our bios and the schedule will be posted on a wall at Cinecycle.
slot for performance: i have prepared a detailed schedule. the slots are one hour long and this covers the time you will have for everything you want to do, such as, possibly, setting up, arranging the audience, introducing your work, perform, ...., talk with the audience, move out of the performing space, clean.....
stage: we will each choose where we want our audiences to be sitting, standing, walking.
sound: there is a sound system at Cinecycle and any of us can take advantage of it. the CD player is in a booth in the back. if you need to operate the sound from the performance space, please take your own CD player.
lighting:
there will be several options to choose from
1) skylights open
2) lighting along one or the other of the longitudinal walls or both
3) more focused lighting on a small area near the back of the space
4) following-spot with red, blue and green gels, operated by Martin Heath, the
owner of Cinecycle
COFFEE/TEA BUT NO ALCOHOL: Martin
will serve espresso coffee and capuccinos and tea but no alcohol.
food: there are quite a few places near Cinecycle where you can buy food but they will be closed overnight. if you want to eat something during the "bring your own breakfast" at 6am, please bring your food. I will bring some fruits and there will be the possibility to have miso soup.
WARM CLOTHING: at night, the space will be heated with an emergency heating system, which will not bring as much heat as the day heating that comes during the day from Richmond 401. Take warm clothing with you....
BLANKETS, PILLOWS AND MATS: we will have an area for rest. Please PLEASE bring a mat, pillows and blankets if you have some handy at home.

documentation: i leave it up to you to organize the documentation of your work. if you need, i can provide you with the names of artists who have documented my work in the past and have done an amazing job. the discussion will be videotaped.
PARKING: the cheapest option is to find a city parking lot. There is one near Kensington Market, on Bellevue Avenue. North of Dundas, West of Spadina.
